This type of work is what we call waterproofing. Some outdoor decks and balconies are built over indoor living spaces of the home and present leak issues. Such as this photo. Walkdecks are basically made of either a concrete slab or a wooden deck structure. Polyurethane coatings are the recommended waterproofing material to correct these leak issues and overall resurface these walking surfaces. Polyurethane is an elastomeric waterproof walk deck coating system, using moisture cured polyurethane products. An aggregate is incorporated into the system to provide an anti-skid surface for foot traction.
