About Us and Mission
Before I began to think about starting a roofing business, I worked in a local scrap yard in Hobbs, NM after graduating college and being involved in youth ministry. I enjoyed the learning experience but knew after 3 years of being there, this was not for me. My dad Hugo Real has been in the interior remodeling business since I can remember my brothers and I being much younger in school still and playing baseball. We would every now and then give him a hand when he needed it. Very rarely willing and many times reluctantly. Let’s just say dad would voluntell us to help him do the grunt work. So, we did and learned much. The love for construction and hard work never dissolved from me. I enjoyed the laborious work growing up because it shaped me into the hardworking young man I needed to be for my own wife and five kids. Needless to say, I had no problem sweating and doing outdoor work. But I did have a problem smelling like oil and fuel every day.
So, after looking for a way out, my best bud from college at that time encouraged me to knock on doors and sell roofs with him for a company. Wasn’t my type to being extroverted like that and talk to people but I eventually grew into it and shaped a new personality in myself. It was a good and rewarding one. We thought, why do Jim, (our boss at that time) not want to do business with the little roofs (20 squares or less)? “Because they do not bring in any profit in according to Jim”, said my friend. I was kind of bothered by that especially as a driven young door to door salesman trying to make any sale for me and my newly formed family to provide for. So, we put our heads together and partnered with a plan. He was the brains (head) and I was the body (hands) of our newly formed company, Teshuva Roof Solutions. A roofing company centered and founded on the principles of the Word of God and knowledge of the Hebrew Scriptures and New Testament. Young and driven we decided to serve the “small people” meaning the little houses with homeowners that struggled to pay for their desperately needed roof work and repairs. We knew, that being new and only the two of us will very low overhead to begin with, we could make a decent living for our young families and serve the little house community gladly and give them a great deal with great value. So, we anchored ourselves in faith in God and believed with confidence that we could do this and took off. I went after my license and included him in as a qualifying member and began Teshuva Roof Solutions of from southeastern NM. These were the young early beginnings of Teshuva Roof Solutions, LLC. Now, a decade later of diligence, faith and perseverance, Teshuva Roof Solutions, LLC has become a family operated business with my best bud transitioning to a different path and me being left with whole ownership. Now, my brothers and dad have united our resources and expertise to better serve the valley and deliver a service for you and your home with the same humble attitude of helping the “little guy” or the not so little guy.
